Today’s coffee share is an afternoon addition. I just made myself a delicious cup of coffee. So sit down, relax, and let’s chat over some coffee.
If we were having coffee, I would tell you that this week was soooooooooo long. I don’t know if it’s spring fever. Or if it’s because we can all feel spring break getting closer. Or if it’s because the older grades had their state assessments. It is interesting (not in a good way really) how the state assessments just make the building feel different. Thankfully, the week ended on some positive notes.
If we were having coffee, I would tell you that apparently it was National Rainbow day last week. I think it was Wednesday maybe. Anyway, I love rainbows. Whenever I see a real rainbow, I just know it’s my dad saying hello from heaven. They just fill my heart with joy. I thought it would be fun to have my kids draw and write what Maya Angelou’s quote “be a rainbow in someone else’s cloud” means to them. My first graders came up with such amazing thoughts.
If we were having coffee, I would tell you that we’re finally getting to experience some spring like weather where I live. Saturday was sunny, warm, and gorgeous and I sat outside in our yard, read, and soaked in some sun while my daughter played with her friends. I also enjoyed a 3.4 mile run. Today was the same kind of day and my daughter has been playing outside all day again. She’s going to be exhausted later! And, again, I made time for myself and snuck in a 2 mile run. Running outside is so much better than the treadmill.
If we were having coffee, I would tell you that I’m over the moon excited from spring break. We are going to meet up with my aunt and cousin in the Great Smoky Mountains for the week. I just can’t wait to sit with her and have drinks and chat. Morning coffee and evening cocktails – can’t wait!
Thanks for joining me this afternoon for coffee. Hope you all had a wonderful week. I’d love to hear about it.
