Since last March…

Day 30 ~ March SOLSC

I “borrowed” this form from Rita DiCarne who borrowed it Elizabeth Ellington who borrowed it from Fran McVeigh!  I’ve been waiting to write this since the first week of the challenge.

Since last March, I’ve been to Washington, D.C. (and Arlington).

Washington, D.C., where we saw the Washington and Lincoln Monuments

Washington, D.C. ,where we dipped our feet in the National World War 2 memorial pool.

Washington, D.C., where we went to the Arlington National Cemetery and was overcome with emotions and a sense of peace.

Washington, D.C., the capital of our beautiful country.

Since last March, I’ve turned 39.

39 and probably in the best shape of my life since I’ve decided that it’s a good idea to take care of myself.

39 and still feel like a kid – one of the perks of being a 1st grade teacher.  I’ll never grow up.

39 and still learning and growing.

39 until October – almost at level 40!

Walkway on the Hudson – the place of my birthday celebration!

Since last March, I’ve said good-bye.

Good-bye to being “lazy.”

Good-bye to not taking care of myself.

Good-bye to not enjoying running.

Good-bye to being too busy.

Since last March, I’ve said hello.

Hello to a running routine.

Hello to accomplishing a personal best for running – the Yonkers half marathon.

Hello to making myself a priority and still growing and learning as a teacher.  Finding that life and work balance – I think!

Hello to an opportunity to go back to school for a Masters in Leadership (will be my 2nd Masters).

  1. Good for you! I’m 39 also, but I’m in a bit of denial over the deal. Maybe I should start working on some balance with you.
I love this format. I think I’ll give it a try. Thanks for sharing it.
