Right Now – Softball edition

Day 28 ~ March SOLSC

I wrote a Right Now post during the first week of the challenge. A fellow slicer commented about trying a “Right Now” at a different time of the day. So here I am, giving it a go for day 28.

Right now I’m…

Sitting in my car watching my niece’s softball game.

Enjoying the game – it’s making me miss playing.

Listening to the crack of the bat as it connects with the ball.

Watching the girls cheer each other on and do special handshakes on the field.

Thinking about coaching my daughter’s team soon. I think our team consists of 12 9 & 10 year old girls.

Wishing it was warmer out so I could be watching outside of my car. Come on spring!

Hoping these girls keep playing hard and come out with a win.

Wondering if there are any women’s softball teams around. There used to be years ago, but the league dissolved.

Wishing I was back in High School – but only to play softball. Nothing else! I have no real desire to ever go back to high school. Ever!

I’m participating in the March Slice of Life Story Challenge!  Thank you to the team of writers at Two Writing Teachers for this wonderful writing community.  A place for us to grow together as writers.

  1. I love, love, love watching baseball, but I have never played. I have zero hand-eye coordination, so I don’t think I would be very good at it, but it would be fun to be part of a team. I wish you could find a women’s team!
