Day 8 ~ March SOLSC
It’s Poetry Friday! Visit No Water River to learn about Poetry Friday and Catherine at Reading to the Core for the Poetry Round Up.
This 6 word memoir kind of poem is inspired by Christine’s Daffodil poem I read this morning (while trying to get myself awake and moving!)
This Morning…
Alarm sounds and one eye opens
Reach over and hit the snooze
Just five more minutes, I say
I roll over, five minutes gone
Slowly, slowly, slowly, I sit up
Into the kitchen, pour the coffee
Lift the mug, breathe it in
The hot deliciousness brings a smile
That first sip is pure joy
Ok Friday, I’m ready for you!
I’m participating in the March Slice of Life Story Challenge! Thank you to the team of writers at Two Writing Teachers for this wonderful writing community. A place for us to grow together as writers.
I love your six word poem about coffee! What a great way to start your – and my – day!
Thanks again for tagging and sharing!

I love this poem and did not know about Poetry Friday. I understood exactly how you felt on this Friday morning. Thanks to your link, I am going to read about Poetry Friday today. Perhaps I will give it a try for today’s Slice. Thanks, again.
