Day 7 ~ March SOLSC
A small slice from Reading Workshop.
“Mrs. Driggers. You know…you were right. I read my book a second time today and I did notice something new!”
“Oh yeah?!?!? (I couldn’t possibly hide my excitement about this) What did notice that you didn’t notice before?”
“I noticed something that the person who draws the pictures did. I can’t remember what that person is called.”
“Yeah. I noticed something in the picture I didn’t see before. He made the picture fancy but not.” (she smiled so big as she spoke and the other kids just looked and listened)
I’m not really sure what she meant by saying ‘fancy but not’. But what I do know is that one of my little readers tried something I suggested that readers do, and she made her reading muscles stronger today. Hopefully she inspired more readers to do the same. Sometimes, all it takes is one!
I’m participating in the March Slice of Life Story Challenge! Thank you to the team of writers at Two Writing Teachers for this wonderful writing community. A place for us to grow together as writers.
