A little about me…

Day 2 ~ March SOLSC

Today’s post is inspired by Christine at her IBLESSINGS blog.  She shared her own bio poem as a way to introduce herself and it reminded me how much I enjoy the bio poem.  I should go back and read my first bio poem and see how it’s the same and/or different from this one. (My first bio poem)

My Bio Poem

Jennifer (but please call me Jen)

Caring, dedicated, passionate

Wife of Brad, mother to Emma

Who loves learning, crocheting, and running

Who experienced great joy when offered an opportunity to go back to school

Who fears losing people I love, Emma’s preteen & teen years,  and so much more (hello anxiety)

Who successfully ran her first ever half marathon at 39 years young this past fall

Who dreams of traveling more and one day relaxing on a porch in a cabin on a lake with my family

Who lives in a small quaint village – the same one I’ve lived in forever

  1. Thank you for tagging me! I love this format of poetry as ine can learn so much about a person in so few words! I certainly learned so much about you through yours!
By the way – I live in a log cabin on a lake!

  2. I love this…. the bio poem is a wonderful way to convey so much in just a few words. So impressive that you ran a 1/2 marathon at 39! And that cabin with the porch on a lake sounds like a perfect dream.

  4. I tried a bio poem today too! Loved learning so much about you so quickly! I started back running. My husband inspired to get back into it. He has done a few 5Ks and and currently training for the Broad Street Run in Philadelphia. I’ll be doing my first 5K next month!

  5. Wonderful to read your first two March slices, Jen. Yesterday’s perfectly frames what we can gain by being part of the Challenge, and it being my first, I value having affirmed all that this month holds for us writers.

  6. I am using quick writes as slices this year. This just might have to be one! Hats off to you for your marathon at 39! We always wanted to live in a cabin, but we had to do with a house that looks like a cabin! Does that count? 🙂
