Day 10 – March SOLSC
I had lots of thoughts about what to write today pop in and out of my head. But, nothing really stuck out. So, I decided to check for the Word of the Day (#DWHabit) for inspiration. I’m so glad I did. Today’s word is Hope.
Hope
I hope
as we spring ahead
the gloomy days
spring out
and we’re filled with joy again.
I hope
as we lose an hour
we will embrace
the happiness
of more sunlight
and warmth.
I hope
that this new season
shines light
and positivity
on us all
I hope
we all take time
every day to
smile
be grateful
and kind
Always.
I’m participating in the March Slice of Life Story Challenge! Thank you to the team of writers at Two Writing Teachers for this wonderful writing community. A place for us to grow together as writers.
This is beautiful! Such good messages 🙂 ~JudyK

This is wonderful. My favorite stanza is:
I hope
that this new season
shines light
and positivity
on us all
I hope so too. The world needs a little light and positivity!

I read a post on twitter by George Courous that made reference to shining the light on positivity! That kinda stuck with me

I really like this. My students picked one little word to live the year 2018 by. I think I might have them use that word to create a poem like yours. Thank you.

My one little word was prioritize for 2018. Maybe I’ll write a poem about that next. Great idea!

I hope for similar things. 2018 has not been kind so far, but I am *hoping* for a little bit of a fresh start tomorrow!
